COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

~Matthew 27:4 NLT

We don’t have to be thankful for the circumstances, but in all circumstances be thankful. God wills for us to be thankful.

~Ya’akov

November, LORD willing, is going to be COUNT YOUR MANY BLESSINGS month at Grace Point. Again, LORD willing, we will be preaching on giving thanks for the next four Sundays. We begin Sunday with the story of the Ten Lepors which is a microcosm of the world. There are two kinds of people in the world: those who acknowledge God as the source of all blessings and those who do not. I for one am thankful and I should be. It would be a sin for me to complain. I wrote a blog and thought I posted it on Tuesday. My soul was flooded with thanksgiving and not just for the pizza, which is practically gone, but I did enjoy it, but for our folks response on Monday. Aside from the Pastor appreciation gift, we had a very good worship service and then Smoking Joe not Jackson got a crowd here on Sunday night like most of us had never seen at Grace Point. Some of the old timers told me that they had these kind of crowds before I came to the POINT but it was the biggest I had seen on Sunday night. Then on Monday, we had enough food to feed 250 people and our folks did great. Our 49ers waited on our guest hand and foot. It was a delight to see. By the time I got home Monday evening, I was exhausted, took a shower and went to bed.

Anyway, I want to say thanks to David and Grace Point Baptist Church for the gift which I throughly enjoyed and for the entire weekend. God has been good to June and I and He is good to Grace Point. I know, He is good to you and your church too, and that is as it should be because HE IS GOOD. It is also good for us to praise Him for His infinite goodness.
