Every Eye Will See HIM!

Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.
~Revelation 1:7, NASB
“The Second Coming will be a day of glorious reunion for the redeemed and dreadful recognition for those who rejected Him.”
~Eruditus Penn
“Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.” I know Christ is coming and I understand that it will be visible, “every eye will see Him,” but my question has to do with the nations of the world mourning. John has combined two OT prophecies: Daniel 7:13-14 and Zachariah 12:10. Daniel speaks of Christ coming in the clouds and Zachariah speaks of the Jews looking upon Him who they pierced and mourning as they would for the death of a son. When Christ does appear, He will appear in glory, majesty and unquestionable authority. The very sight of Him will make all knees grow weak. If my imagination is right, we will not stand in His presence but to our knees we will fall and I doubt that our initial response will be to sing hallelujah or to sing at all. As to the mourning: scholars believe that it will be two-fold. First it could me a deep mourning over our sin against Him and our sincere repentance. But there could be a mourning over the impending judgment that we know is coming.
As I said above, His authority will be understood and unquestioned. Everyone will know who is in charge and they will know without a doubt that they must give an account for the attitude they have had toward Him. This is when I think people are going to pray for the mountains to fall on them and hide them from His face. Of course He is not going to answer that prayer and they will have to face Him. The entire world will finally see who Jesus really is and they will be sorry for the way they have treated Him. This includes those who mocked Him as He died, those who crucified him and all those who rejected Him. At Calvary, those who loved Him mourned as they saw Him suffer; when He returns, those who refused to mourn His death at Calvary, will mourn because He is alive and in absolute control.
