The Birth of PC

His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders, who already had decided that anyone who acknowledged that Jesus was the Messiah would be put out of the synagogue.

~Psalm 55:22, NLT

Political correctness is the use of bullying tactics to intimidate and silence opponents.

~Ya’akov

My Thoughts

John 9 gives us a perfect example of political correctness. The Sanhedrin make a law that no one could speak of Jesus being the Messiah and if they were caught, the penalty was to be excommunicated from the temple and the synagogue. When Jesus healed the man born blind, the Jews went to his parents for an interview but they wouldn’t say anything for fear of being thrown out of the synagogue. Nicodemus spoke up in defense of Jesus in John 7 and they made fun of him which shut him down.

Freedom to debate and discuss ideas lies at the heart of this great Republic. If you think Washington, the Adams boys, Jefferson, Franklin and John Hancock agreed on everything you are mistaken. Samuel Adams was the spark but Washington was the gun powder. John Adams, Franklin and Jefferson offered the wisdom to guide the patriots. Hancock had to be convinced by them all; he was the last to make a full commitment. They all had differing ideas but the one thing they agreed on was liberty and justice for all.

Do not allow the powers that be bully you and silence you. Speak up for the truth.

I had the blog ready to post over an hour ago and I had missed a button in all these hoops I have to jump through and it would not post and then I punched the wrong button and it disappeared before I could copy it. So what you see above is an abbreviated version.

No major plans today; no doctor appointments PTL. Rachel my NP who worked for Dr. Moore told me yesterday that I would have to have surgery to recover. I have a torn rotator cuff and a bone spur on the right shoulder. I am waiting 6 weeks for another shot and then hopefully I can go another 6 or so before any surgery.

Have you noticed how many times the word HOPE comes up in Music or pen. Everywhere I look, I see HOPE.

I do hope you have a good day! Thank you for reading the blog.
