True Worship

Scripture
A time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
~John 4:23, NIV
Quote
Worshipping God begins with knowing who God is, His attributes and how He expresses Himself in His work.

My Thoughts
I am reading Franklin Graham’s ALL FOR JESUS devotional and loving it. Todays entry was on WORSHIP. I want to share his thoughts with you. [1] Worship begins with knowing who God is and what He does. You hear me referring to Exodus 34:6-7 all the time. Here we find seven attributes of God… “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished.” God is compassionate, gracious, long-suffering, abounding in loving kindness, faithful {true}, forgiving, and Holy. The WISE MEN bowed a knee to an infant. Why would grown men worship a child? Because they knew who He was. They knew He was the KING of all kings. [2] Worship involves humility. The Wise men revered Christ because they realized they were inferior to Him. Worship is acknowledging the greatest of God. We never admire anyone that we feel superior to; we admire those we believe are greater than ourselves. [3] Worship is spiritual in nature. Jesus said, “Those who worship God must do it in spirit and truth. God is almighty but He is also invisible and must be worshipped in spirit because He is spirit. [4] Worship is praise. We only praise those we admire. [5] Worship is adoration. We love Him because He first loved us. O come let us adore Him. [6] Worship is giving. You cannot divorce worship from giving. Worship always involves and offering. Misers worship money, not God.

They say rain is coming. It has been a long time since we have had an inch or more at one time. Someone said to me this week: I want the four inches of rain they are predicting but not all at once. I will take it either way–we need the rain. Jim told me Sunday, “We will get the rain Bro. Jack and I’ll tell you when–March and April.” We got it last April, didn’t we. Thank You Jesus for the rain.
Back to the COMPOUND today. I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Bed room is almost complete: Kitchen and Untility next. Everything in the apartment will be small except the den and untility room. Big Mama is getting excited.
Men’s breakfast in the morning. {8:00 am @ the POINT} All men everywhere are invited.
I am slapping these blogs together each morning which is not my normal way but until we get moved, it will probably remain this way. I cannot edit same day material. I cannot see all the mistakes. So just muddle through. God bless you, have a great weekend and thanks for reading the blog.
