Two Worlds

Scripture

So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

~2 Corinthians 4:18, NLT

Quote

There are two worlds: there is the one you see and there is the one you cannot see, not with the eyes in your head. One is visible and the other is invisible. One is temporary and the other is eternal. One is carnal and the other is spiritual, but they are both real. John the disciple was an uneducated fisherman but in time, he became a highly educated mystic and his gospel is the most theologically profound of the four. John knew that the same God who created the natural, created the spiritual. The natural mirrors the spiritual. John begins with the metaphor of “Light.”
