There are two worlds: the present world and the world to come. One is physical and the other is metaphysical. One is temporal and the other is eternal. One finite and the other infinite. One has contempt for God and the other has total adoration for God. One is immediate and the other is ultimate. The wicked defy God; they shake their fist in His face. They are convinced that due to no immediate judgment for their sin and rebellion, that they are flying under God’s radar but this is not true. Most of them are like the Sadducees, they do not believe in the world to come.

God gave us the law to help us get the most out of this life: the law is for this present world. The world to come will be governed by grace, love and truth. There will be no need for the law in heaven. There are consequences in this present world but the real judgment will come in the next world. Joseph Stalin was a malicious murdering brute. He inflicted pain and misery on millions. Did he get off scott free? No, he did not: although he had the best in this world, he will spend eternity in the lake of fire. Of course, Stalin, like most pagans, did not believe in an after life or in a world to come. You and I have no say in either world: the present or the world to come. Recently [within the last year} a man told me he didn’t believe in life after death. I asks him, “was it your decision to be born into this world? He said “No”! I said, “You want have any choice about the world to come either.” The only choice we have is where we spend eternity– heaven or hell. I don’t know why anyone would choose hell.

Extra

I listened to Jame Spann last night. I wanted to make sure I got all the info I could about the upcoming winter storm. It is supposed to hit here about 6:00 pm Saturday night. This means the 49er fellowship is on but it will be Sunday that is up in the air. There is a chance that all we will get is cold rain. Personally, I don’t want an ice storm. I prefer rain; snow would be my second choice, but I had just as soon we had no ice.

The 49er fellowship is still on. I will probably be at the compound today. I am hoping to get the kitchen framed so I can get the plumbers in, then I can finish the utility room.

Pray for Randy Lewis, I didn’t make it by yesterday. LORD willing, I will see him today.

Extra/Extra

Morgan County tournament today at Falkville. All three Danville/Brewer teams play each other. I think it starts at 4:30. I watched the entire game last night. It is probably the only full game I have watched this year. I did pull for Indiana even though they are Big Ten. I think Miami has the best defensive line in the country. It was a game. I thought maybe Indiana could put them away but the canes kept fighting back.
