Praise the LORD.Praise the LORD, my soul. I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
~Psalm 146:1-2, NLT
Quote
When Jesus Christ is genuinely loved, there will be a growing surge of adoring praise.

We are going to talk about our greatest passion. If that is Alabama football, and I hope it is not, you are going to talk about Alabama football: if it is grand kids, you will talk about the grand kids, if it is money, you will talk about money and if it is Jesus, you will talk about Jesus. These last five Psalms are called the “Double Hallelujah” Psalms because they begin and end with the Hebrew word ‘hallelujah’ which in English is ‘Praise the LORD.’ Praising God is a choice, an intentional choice. Our life is to be one perpetual act of praise. Circumstances do not dictate when or where we can praise the LORD. It is true that there is injustice, oppression, sickness and sorrow in this world but it will not always be so. When Jesus came in the first advent, He healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, set the prisoner free, corrected injustice. In that short three year span, we saw what the millennium would be like. When Jesus returns, He will end injustice, He will stop oppression and He will exercise dominion over sickness and death. Because of Christ and Christmas, we have hope of a bright future and that is something for which we can give Jesus praise. Conditions are not perfect now but they will be and that calls for a hardy hallelujah.I am wore out folks: I don’t even know if the above makes sense. I’ve been burning the candle at both ends for three days and I am exhausted. I do have one prayer request: I am preaching at the Pastor’s conference today. Children’s play last night was out of this world. Shohn and crew are to be commended.
