My Thoughts
One reason God wanted Israel out of Egypt is so they could worship Him. One of the requirements for true worship is to withdraw from the world. It is hard to get a congregation at Walmart or Wall Street to bow the knee; even getting hard in church. Moses had already developed a quiet time but the Israelites as a whole had spent very little time with the LORD. One of the first things Moses did once they got out of Egypt was erect what he called the tent of meeting. He put the tent outside the camp and this is where Moses went to pray. Then God revealed to Moses that He wanted the entire camp to have such a tent of meeting. So God gave Moses detail instructions on building the sacred tent known as the Tabernacle. He told Moses,“You build it according to the pattern I have shown you.” There was a reason for Moses to follow the detail instructions…The Tabernacle is a portrait of Jesus. Everything about the Tabernacle speaks to the man, mission and ministry of Jesus. It is an amazing subject to study.
For example: the Tabernacle had one entrance {gate/door} and it was on the East side where the tribe of Judah camped. There is only one way into the presence of God and of course that is Jesus. As you go through the door, the first object inside the tent is the altar. Before you can enter the sanctuary, sin has to be dealt with and of course Christ is the altar and the sacrifice. Then you come to the lavers or basins which represents Christ our Sanctifier. Then we proceed to the Holy Place where the golden candle stick and the shew bread are placed…Christ our sufficiency…light of the world, bread of life…and then there is the altar of incense, Christ our high priest or intercessor. Then behind the veil in the Holy of Holies is the Ark of the Covenant and the Mercy Seat. This speaks of the atonement, Jesus shedding His blood to cover our sins [the broken law in the Ark].
One other interesting thing which I have blogged before: The Tabernacle was plain on the outside but breathtaking on the inside. June and I went to see the one at Hot Springs a few years ago and I was so disappointed. It is cheap inside and out. It is so fake that I was disgusted but keep this in mind—it would cost up to 100 million dollars to build a replica like the one that Moses built and that would be just for materials; by the time you added labor, it could be 200 million dollars. Of course the two sides {inside and out} of the Tabernacle respresents the two natures of Christ—Human and Divine. Woe to those who never see inside the Tent!

Doctor’s appoint at 3:15 to find out what we do next. I have several projects that I need to complete before any surgery but BIG MAMA aint buying into the plan. She says, ASAP, but we aren’t even sure there will be a surgery. We should find out today.
Don’t forget to pray for at least one other person other than yourself. We are working on our intercessory skills or like thereof; for me it is like thereof!
Extra/Extra
John and I had a big time at Duck River. We brought home about 32. By the time we got them cleaned and I got home, it was 10:00 pm and I was exhausted. I do love Duck River, the bait shop on 278 {chicken wings} and bream fishing. I don’t like cleaning them. I do like to fry and eat them. We may be looking at another Saturday night fish fry about June 20.
